Events Breakfast with Peter Garrett

Boffins Books and West Australian Music present a breakfast event with Australian music icon Peter Garrett as he launches his memoir, Big Blue Sky, and talks frankly about his life, music and political career.

In his long-awaited autobiography, Big Blue Sky, Peter Garrett writes lyrically and openly about his life, sharing his thoughts, memories and private challenges, as well as giving us his perspective on many legendary Australian events. Hear the stories firsthand of Midnight Oil's early days before their success, what it was like when success finally came and Peter's time in politics.

Peter Garrett’s life so far has been deeply felt and fully and passionately lived. A man of boundless energy, compassion, intelligence and creativity, he has already achieved enough to fill several lives. From his idyllic childhood growing up in the northern suburbs of Sydney, to an early interest in equality and justice; from the height of 1960s culture shock at ANU to fronting iconic Australian band Midnight Oil; from his time as a galvanising activist for the environment to being the only unaligned Cabinet Minister in two Labor governments, Garrett has an extraordinary story to tell.

Tickets cost $60 or $99 with a copy of his autobiography and includes a cooked breakfast. Book sales and signing will take place at the event, and tickets are strictly limited. Click here to secure your place via Trybooking.com!
