Events Book signing with Ross Coulthart

Ross Coulthart is a Gold Walkley-winning TV journalist. His role with Channel 7's Sunday Night led him to France with Peter Burness of the Australian War Memorial in search of a rumoured collection of long-lost photographs from the First World War.

In an ancient iron chest in the attic of an old farmhouse, they found them - thousands of photographic plates of Allied troops, taken in the village of Vignacourt, where soldiers were given a brief respite from the horrors of the front line.

But discovering the photographs was only the first half of the story. The photographs were published online, and through the power of social media, many of the soldiers were identified and their stories told to Coulthart by their living relatives. The Lost Diggers is a compilation of these photos and stories.
