Events Phillip Adams in conversation

At this evening event, host of ABC's Late Night Live Phillip Adams will interview a special guest - the author of a new book Bedtime Stories, a widely-read columnist and awarded filmmaker, who despite never having been interviewed on LNL has appeared on the program over ten thousand times...yes, it's Phillip Adams himself!

When Phillip Adams started out on Late Night Live in 1991 he was already a central figure in the Australian film industry, had built and left a successful advertising career, and was a Member of the Order of Australia. Since then, he has sat opposite thousands in the interviewer's chair, expertly batting questions to world leaders, thinkers, ideologues, crackpots and gurus alike.

But what goes on behind the scenes and when the mike is off? When a guest freezes or arguments break out? When tricky questions must be asked or when the interviewee's name has slipped from memory? Adams will share all in a candid on-stage interview with himself. On display will be introspection at its finest, as Adams explores the ups and downs of his last twenty years for your entertainment.

Adams' new book Bedtime Stories expands on these tales, and will be available on the night for sale and to be signed by the author. By the time he's finished talking, we're pretty sure you'll want a copy.
