Events Family bike ride and launch of Where to Ride Perth

Where to Ride Perth is the ideal companion on your bike journeys, newly updated with 24 child-friendly rides, overhauled maps and features that make it even more useful on the road, like moisture-resistant paper and a fold-out region map that doubles as a page marker.

At this launch event we'll serve a tasty and healthy morning tea on the riverside lawns of Mounts Bay Sailing Club, with recipes prepared from some of our favourite cookbooks, hot tea and coffee, and juice for the kids. Author Brent Meyer will share his thoughts about cycling in Perth, then you can pick his brain - he's got plenty of tips and advice for cyclists of all levels, whether you're riding for fitness, to commute, or simply for fun and recreation.

Then we'll go for an easy group ride, taking the bike paths past UWA and along the river up to the Narrows, and back again - a round trip of about 9km. We've uploaded a map of the route.

We're lucky to live in a good cycling city, with unbeatable weather and lots of bike paths. Kick off a good summer habit - get on your bike and come down on Sunday 6th October!
